- E.058.1 is a reworking of a plate that Amor worked on initially in 1991–92, when he took it through five states. The title of the earlier version of the print, Arthurs Creek, refers to a locality adjoining Strathewen; in a wide landscape such as is depicted here, the two place names are to some extent interchangeable. Amor’s reason for returning in 2014 to a plate he had last worked on twenty-two years earlier was his wish to record the differences in the Strathewen landscape in the wake of the devastating Black Saturday bushfires of February 2009. This he did in a sixth state of this drypoint, which he now retitled Strathewen; the new version of the print was then editioned. In 2018, Amor reworked the plate in a seventh and final state by significantly burnishing the existent drypoint marks, creating a softer image to suggest regrowth in the area.
