• I. 1st state of 2, 1991

  Drypoint and rocker. A standing female nude, depicted from the top of her head to her knees. She leans on her left hip, her arms clasped above her, and her head in left profile. The subject is essentially complete. There are two variant impressions of this state.

  1. Impression on wove paper, printed by Rick Amor in his Dunmoochin studio. Inscribed in pencil, below the plate mark: lower left: ‘1 [circled]’; lower centre: ‘Standing Nude’; lower right: signed and dated: ‘Rick Amor ’91’.
  2. Impression with rich burr, on wove paper, printed by Rick Amor in his Dunmoochin studio. Inscribed in pencil, below the plate mark: lower left: ‘A/P’; lower centre: ‘Standing Nude’; lower right: signed and dated ‘Rick Amor ’91’.

  This drypoint was done from a life drawing that was subsequently destroyed by Amor during one of his annual cullings. A closely related, roughly hewn woodcut of the same subject was completed in 1991.
