Title and Date
Small square

2002; begun 1995, and reworked 1997, as The telephones

Initial Title
The telephones
Subsequent Title Comment
This etching was begun in 1995, as The telephones. It was taken through six states before being printed in an edition of two. A further state change followed, and a second edition, of ten impressions, was then printed. In 1997, Amor again made changes to the plate, reworking it in an eighth state, but he did not edition the print at this stage. In 2002, he reconsidered the plate for a final time, when he cut it along its left edge and retitled the etching Small square. He then had it printed in a third edition, of ten impressions.
