  • Comment

The image of a large container vessel on the horizon has often appeared in Amor’s art. The ship suggests the longing for journeys to distant, unknown lands, while also evocative of mysterious hidden cargo. This etching is based on a plein-air watercolour, which also served as a modello for a painting that is closely related to the print: The ship sails on, 2008 (Liverpool Street Galleries 2009).

Only two impressions of the etching were printed and Amor decided against editioning it.
