• I. 1st state of 3, 1991

  

  Drypoint. Depiction of the buttocks, genitals and thighs of a woman bending forward with legs spread apart. The outer contour of the thighs is incomplete and the background has been left blank.

• II. 2nd state of 3, 1991 (Featured Image)

  

  The arc of the outline of the buttocks and thighs has been completed and the background has been darkened with irregular drypoint hatching. An area of oblique parallel hatching has been added to the inner right thigh.

• III. 3rd and final state, 1994

  Several oblique parallel strokes of shading have been added to the inner left thigh.

  E.049 is one of several intaglio prints depicting erotic subjects that were made by Amor in the 1990s. This work is based on a pencil drawing, dated 17 December 1989, in the artist’s 1989–91 sketchbook.
